The closest hotel is definitely the Mandarin Oriental (though this is quite pricey). It is just across the road from the main venue and connected by an overground, covered walkway.
The Lan Kwai Fong hotel is right in the middle of Hong Kong’s most (in)famous drinking district, and incidentally is in the same area (opposite building) to where the dinner/drinks will be held on Friday night. https://www.google.com.hk/maps/dir/Lan+Kwai+Fong+Hotel+@+Kau+U+Fong,+3+Kau+U+Fong,+Central/Deacons,+Centralemail@example.com,114.1535528,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m14!4m13!1m5!1m1!1s0x3404007c862302b1:0x3cffb56c0c6d06a6!2m2!1d114.153118!2d22.28429!1m5!1m1!1s0x340400648cba4cf9:0xbac330243bb0edac!2m2!1d114.158365!2d22.281508!3e2
It is also possible to walk from the hotels in Admiralty in around 20 minutes, or it is one stop away on the MTR.
The hotels in Wan Chai, Causeway Bay, and Tsim Sha Tsui are each only a few stops away on the MTR.
A map of the MTR system can be found here.
